Nursing foundation-2 for B.Sc Nursing (2nd semester)

This Nursing Foundation course is meant to teach students, how to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process approach in supervised clinical settings. It will teach them how to assess the nutritional needs and patients and how to provide relevant care under supervision. It helps them learn to identify to meet the hygienic needs of patients; to identify and meet the elimination needs of patients; to interpret the findings of specimen testing applying the knowledge of normal values, etc... It teaches them how to promote oxygenation based on identified oxygenation needs of the patients under supervision. They will learn how to review the concept of fluid, electrolyte balance integrating the knowledge of applied physiology and more. They will also learn crucial patient-related treatment techniques including how to explain loss, death and grief; describe sexual development and sexuality; identify stressors and stress adaptation, etc...
